Scholarship
The CardShirt Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded every April. The scholarship is awarded to a student with a junior or senior standing (for 2009-2010 year) in the College of Business with a 3.0 minimum GPA. Applicants must write an essay demonstrating commitment to building community and tradition for the CoB and U of L including volunteer work, membership to clubs at U of L/CoB, and attendance of sporting events around campus. This essay must be included in with your personal statement that you must complete when applying for a CoB scholarship. Dear Cardshirt Company,
As a recipient of the Cardshirt Scholarship, I would like to thank all those who were involved in administering the iconic garb and as well as all the students who purchase the shirt year after year and help continue this great tradition.
All those who have a stake in the Cardshirt, I would thank you for making this scholarship possible and helping students like myself stay involved in all facets of UofL. Without this scholarship, I would find much hardship in paying for my education. Upon my graduation this coming December, I will be the first member in my family to graduate from college and the Cardshirt has played a tremendous roll in my college experience both from an involvement and financial level.
Once again, thank you all for this opportunity to be a part of the Cardshirt family. GO CARDS!!!
